Trista was another little dog that almost did not make it out of the shelter alive. The shelter staff 
stated that she could not be "leashed up" because she was so fearful. We had our transporter go into the kennel and coax her out with gentleness and a soothing voice. Trista is now at BDR getting the kindness she deserves but was never shown. It will take a little while but we are sure that this little girl will learn to trust us and be joyful when volunteers offer to walk her. At the moment we just sit and talk to her as she inches forward for love.
 
We have some of the sweetest and gentle volunteers and staff. We are dedicated to make Trista's world a better place. Perhaps you would like to show Trista the world is a kind and safe place to be. Your home should be quiet, without small children. Every day is a new day and brings new hope for Trista.


Update: Trista is doing great. She is becoming quite the social butterfly. All the volunteers love her. They have taught her how to walk on leash. She is one of the volunteer favorites at Big Dog Rescue.
