Jolie is an amazing 3 1/2 year old Labradoodle of approximately 50lbs. with impeccable walking manners, who sits, stays and loves to be brushed. Her hair is curly with lavish long ears and a long fluffy tail. Jolie is a beautiful girl who prances like a poodle and is very fast on her feet. She likes to hike and camp, and is a good guard dog.

We have been fostering Jolie since Sunday, 8/7/11, when she was given up by her owner for financial reasons. She has been well cared-for and we have experienced only a few issues with her. It is important that Jolie finds a home where her human companions are at home all the time, as she exhibits anxiety when left alone (even with other dogs). Once her security is established in her forever home, I believe she would be fine for up to a few hours alone. Her prior care giver said she does become anxious in strange places and then does not eat. However, we have found that with added chicken, cheese, etc. she has eaten regularly since arriving at our home. Jolie has been an only dog other than visitors and at the puppy park. She believes she is her human’s companion. Since being with us, she has remained close at all times and has been permitted, along with the others, to sleep on the bed. Her prior caregiver had her sleep next to the bed on the floor and when directed, she will sleep next to the bed.

Jolie is definitely a Lab who loves squeaky toys and chasing toys and balls. “Drop the ball” means she lies down, puts the ball between her paws and then pushes the ball towards you. If rubbed under her chin to drop the ball, she usually complies.

Jolie is not aggressive around food or during play.
