Clinton is tall and so good-looking he could be a super-model. He is young, he has no manners, yet he is all heart. He’s a lab mix. He will be an awesome dog given the right guardian Someone that is willing to train him and teach him gently that he is perhaps too big to sit in your lap. Are you the one? Seeking an attentive family willing to take him to Obedience Classes, the beach, long hikes. He will grow with you in to the dog you remember from your childhood, patient, loyal and well mannered. Give him time. Due to his size and energy level we will only place him in a family without young children. Teenaged children would be a plus. One of our previous adopters had this to say about Clinton: "This combination of Golden Retriever and Yellow Labrador grows up to be the sweetest and most wonderful type of dog. He will bring much joy to any family willing to give him the training he needs" One of our volunteers had this to say about Clinton: "As a volunteer at Big Dog Rescue, I, of course love all the dogs, but do have some favorites. When I arrive to exercise the dogs, I always begin with Clinton. He is a big, energetic, young Lab /Golden mix who makes me smile the entire time I am with him. When you first see him in his kennel, he appears to be out of control, but after 5 minutes on the leash he settles down and like most Labs, he aims to please. He is curious and confident and has a mind of his own and being so big and still a puppy, he can appear to be difficult to handle. My experience has been that a few gentle, but stern commands and he will settle into being very easy dog to be with. I especially like to see him interact with other dogs. He gets along with everyone without an aggressive bone in his body. When the play gets too rough, he lies down and seems to settle the other dogs down. Clinton will make someone who is willing to spend some time training and exercise him a perfect companion for life"
