6 years, Shepherd Mix

Paloma finds herself homeless mid life through no fault of her own; her guardians are divorcing. Paloma is a marvelously friendly dog. She is playful but gentle and adores children. We've noticed at the rescue that she really comes alive when children come to visit. Excellent in the house, she aims to please. She is also very well mannered with other dogs and seems to prefer playing with small dogs. She needs a secure fence. She is very intelligent and can actually open gates. She is not trying to get somewhere else; she is just trying to be with her family. Not a dog to leave in the backyard.
