About Jennifer

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
Jennifer Female, One Year, Beagle Mix Jennifer is a very sweet pup. She walks well on a leash and is calm and quiet. Gets along with other dogs. She would be a good playmate for the kids. She will weigh about 35 lbs when full grown. ADOPTED I want to thank you and everyone involved with Big Dog Rescue for my dog Jenny. I adopted her last April (2005). She has been a wonderful addition to my life. Each morning - no matter who is awake first, me or the dog - we spend at least 15 minutes together with me petting and rubbing and sweet talking the dog. Jenny just demands this! She loves the attention. We walk everyday before breakfast. Actually she won't eat until we've walked. Then again at least one more time before bed. -- usually she gets another walk in there during the afternoon. We've spent a considerable amount of time at the family's Sierra cabin. She is obviously at home there. She loves all the aromas, chasing squirels, birds and butterflies. The meadow is one of her favorite places. There she can run free, bounding over the plants and dashing through the creek. She gets along with all the other dogs in the extended family, just like you said she would. I've never had a dog with such a sweet, calm disposition. It is such a joy to watch her play with whomever is available whether it be at the cabin, in the neighbor's backyard or along the trails at the dog park. Her only known flaw is her desire to chew - everyone in the family has at least one damaged shoe and the drip system in the backyard may never recover. She has plenty of toys, but somehow that drip line is the best! We joined a dog training class in progress on the 5th day Jenny was with me in Napa. Proudly I can say we graduated from this second level training course and have been told we are welcome to take whatever course we want next. The basics are complete. Jenny certainly surprised me. I didn't think we could do so well. I appreciate all the time the people in Oklahoma spent with her. Without all that attention, we surely would have been bumped to the first level class. Thanks again for providing me with a marvelous companion!
