COURTESY LISTING FOR GRATEFUL DOG Amos is a young (about a year) beautiful big male shepherd that is full of love. Amos acts like a dog that hasn't been exposed to much in his life so far and while he may look large and imposing, Amos is a big teddy bear inside. New situations can be scary to Amos and he shows this by making himself flat as a pancake. He is quick to recover and investigate and quick to make new friends. Amos absolutely adores human contact. He is the sort of dog that tries to get as close to you as he possibly can, pushing right up against you for pets and hugs. Amos gets along well with other dogs and is currently visiting our friends at Big Dog Rescue, where he gets to spend his days in play yards with other dog friends. He interacts daily with the various people there - men and women alike, and loves them all. Amos needs a home with a lot of love and a gentle hand and plenty of time to dedicate to socializing him and exposing him to the world outside of a backyard. We believe Amos is a dog with so much potential and will become a loyal loving friend to his lucky adopter. Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial medical and other costs in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we must charge an adoption fee. The adoption fee for Amos is $200.
