Zander is a quiet, gentle, under 2yo dog who appears to have had a rough life before we got him. Indeed we chose Zander being only able to see the curve of his back as he pushed himself face first into the corner of the kennel farthest from the gate. He was afraid of the noise in the shelter, the other dogs and the staff. Yet even being this scared he never once tried to bite anyone; he just tried to disappear into the wall. We have had him for 6 days and already he is wagging his tail, seeking volunteers for affection and learning to walk on a leash. Once again we are amazed and thankful how quickly a dog given a 2^nd chance will seize the opportunity to forgive and forget and flourish.
