Anatolian Shepherd / German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young : : Large
Ralphie came to the shelter with his entire body covered in bite wounds and 6” long claw marks. Our vet thinks he is lucky to have survived an attack from a large wild predator, dragging Ralphie by his hind legs. The worst of which was that his ear was ripped from the tip all the way to his head making it appear he has 2 ears on one side of his head. Sadly it is not unusual for this kind of attack to happen to a young inexperienced flock guardian dog such as Ralphie, whom we believe is an Anatolian shepherd. Despite these horrendous injuries, Ralphie is a trusting fun loving pup. He has an appointment at the vets to be neutered and hopefully have his ear repaired. We are not sure the surgery on his ear is possible but we will do whatever we can. Given how much this young pup has already suffered we are looking for a special home for him, one where he will never be injured, alone or afraid again. He has so much love to give and is a joyful happy dog.
