Macy was rescued from a hoarding situation. Nine little dogs lived in a closet covered in feces. That’s how they spent their lives day in and day out. Everything– grass, sky, bird– is a new experience for them, in turn fascinating and terrifying at the same time. They are very shy, some are even fearful of the human touch. We are convinced that with patience and a gentle hand they will learn to trust. Understanding their prior life, the foster home or adoptive parent working calmly will help these young dogs reach their full potential. Macy has already made forays into our volunteers’ laps for treats.
